Welcome to Compose Your Investments!
I’m Greg, and this is my story about how I’m achieving my dreams through financial freedom – and I want to take you along for the ride.
One of my true passions in life is helping other people, and through the resources I’ve developed I strive to demonstrate my strategy to you. Perhaps this may motivate you to take that crucial first step towards achieving your own dreams!
What Made You Embark Upon this Journey?
I watched so many people let emotion get the best of them during the stock market crash of the mid 2000’s. People were scared and started pulling their money out of the market in droves, even after they had lost double-digit percentages. And then, to make things worse, they didn’t buy back in anywhere near the bottom of the crash and missed the massive gains brought on during the recovery.
I knew at that point there must be a way to help people not get caught up in the thrill of the moment, and stick to a sound investment strategy.
So, How Do You Know This Strategy Will Work?
I’ve refined it through lots of trial-and-error. With over 20+ years of putting my own money to work in many different types of investments, I’ve learned a lot about the dependencies and intricacies of investing. You’ll see that I’m not so naïve as to believe this is a foolproof investment strategy – one thing I’m sure of, is there is no such thing.
The major difference between my approach and those of the average, professional financial advisor is patience. People are by nature impatient, especially when it comes to money. When they invest their money, they expect immediate returns, causing advisors to try and produce these returns to keep their clientele from leaving for another advisor. This approach is often inefficient as the advisors try and “chase the market.” Instead, by focusing on the long-term, I am confident this strategy will produce significant returns.
My goal is to show you how I’ve been able to take emotion out of the equation when it comes to investing, maintaining my composure and resulting in purchases when stocks are on sale and sales when they’re peaking.
Are You Advocating This Strategy For My Sole Investment Plan?
No, that I cannot recommend in good faith. First, I am not a certified investment advisor, so I highly recommend you consult one before embarking on an investment plan, or make changes to your current plan.
While I am confident that you will find value in my approach, I also do not recommend this approach as a sole investment strategy. I personally have other investments in real estate, index funds, and fixed income vehicles. Diversification is key to weathering any financial storm – I’m demonstrating a great way of changing the way you think about investing to make significant gains in the long run.
I appreciate your interest in my plan and this journey I’ve embarked on towards financial freedom. I’m always interested in hearing from you, so please let me know what you like, what you don’t like, and how I can do a better job of helping you achieve your dreams!
